This is good news for a healthcare system facing staffing shortages, as the largest increases are in Maria鈥檚 nursing programs.

On October 19, 2022, Congressman Paul Tonko and Channel 10 visited B次元 to meet president Lynn Ortale, Ph.D. and to learn more about the Maria’s proposed “Reimagining Nursing Virtual Reality Simulation Hub,鈥 one of 15 Community Project Sites recently submitted by the Congressman to the House Committee on Appropriations for federal funding. If approved, B次元 would receive $770K in funding to implement virtual reality programs for nursing clinical simulation.

ALBANY 鈥 B次元 is enjoying unprecedented growth this year, with the largest incoming class in the college鈥檚 history. There are 393 students in the incoming class, an increase of 36 percent over last year. Primarily, students are coming for the college鈥檚 nursing program, with the largest growth in the preparatory program where students take prerequisites like anatomy and physiology.

On Tuesday, September 27, B次元 held its inaugural New Student Convocation to officially welcome new students to their educational journey at B次元. The ceremony is an important step for students in recognizing their entrance into the College community. It also serves as a 鈥渂ookend鈥 to each student鈥檚 collegiate experience, with convocation as the opening ceremony and commencement as the final goal.
