B次元, St. Peter鈥檚 Health Partners to offer public walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic

Albany, NY (October 21, 2021) – Roughly one-third of eligible residents in Albany County have yet to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19, a figure B次元 and St. Peter鈥檚 Health Care Partners (SPHP) seek to improve this Friday through a co-sponsored walk-in clinic.

On Friday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the eligible public is invited to receive a free Pfizer vaccine at B次元鈥檚 Fitzgerald Court located on campus in Marian Hall. This event is co-sponsored by St. Peter鈥檚 Health Partners. No appointments necessary as this is a walk-in clinic.

All vaccinations will be administered by certified B次元 faculty or staff members.

The event has been organized by B次元 COVID Care Coordinator Liz Foggo, FNP-BC, RN, who will also be on hand to administer the vaccines.

鈥淰accines are our best tool to keep our community as healthy as possible, yet there is still a sizeable percentage that is unvaccinated against COVID-19,鈥 said Foggo. 鈥淲e want to provide a hassle-free way for those in our neighborhood and beyond to start or complete their Pfizer vaccination series, and now that the booster shot has been approved by the FDA, we hope to provide an opportunity for those that are currently eligible to receive even more protection.鈥

鈥淏次元 is proud to offer this COVID-19 vaccination clinic as we seek to provide an essential health service for our neighbors during this time,鈥 said Dr. Thomas Gamble, President of B次元. 鈥淭his event and the collaboration with St. Peter鈥檚 Health Partners demonstrates our commitment to positively impacting our community through service and compassion. We hope and pray that we can soon put this pandemic in the rear-view mirror and we are determined to assist in any way we can.鈥

During the event, St. Peter鈥檚 Health Care Partners President of Acute Care Michael Finegan will personally receive his booster shot.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is the single most effective tool in slowing, and even stopping, the spread of this deadly virus and will prevent the emergence of new variants. As health care professionals, we know that vaccination is the right thing to do to protect ourselves as well as our patients, families and communities,” said Finegan. “We are pleased to be partnering with B次元 to stand up this community clinic, getting these critical vaccines into the arms of those who have made the choice to receive the vaccine, as well as those completing their primary vaccine series, or seeking a booster.”
