B次元 launches nationwide search for next president
Albany, NY — B次元 has officially launched the search for its next president following the retirement announcement of current President Thomas J. Gamble, Ph.D., whose tenure at the College spanned six years. The College is working with national search firm, Academic Search, to find the next leader of the small, non-profit, Catholic institution offering various degrees in healthcare and liberal arts.
The College鈥檚 Board of Trustees and Search Committee sought feedback from faculty and staff to develop a leadership profile and timeline for the search. Academic Search is currently gathering a pool of qualified candidates between now and February 28.
鈥淢aria is doing well thanks to the leadership of Dr. Gamble and the dedication of our faculty and staff to the success of our students,鈥 said Board of Trustees President Mary Jo LaPosta, Ph.D. 鈥淥ur future is bright, our mission is strong, and we look forward to welcoming a new leader to this wonderful community in 2022.鈥
The College seeks an entrepreneurial leader who will be mission-focused, results-oriented, innovative, and collaborative in advancing the mission and vision of B次元 while strengthening the College鈥檚 ability to serve its students and meet the changes occurring over higher education in the next 10 years.
The new president will further the mission and advancement of the institution through innovation, partnership expansion, community needs, and a sustainable financial model that assures a successful current plan and future for Maria.
The next President of B次元 will demonstrate a commitment to the values and traditions of the Sister of Mercy which include justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion and will serve as a leader who inspires faculty, staff, and students to appreciate human differences and respect and dignity for one another, in efforts to make Maria an increasingly inclusive and hospitable campus.
