In celebration of National Nurses Week 2017, a panel was convened in Marian Hall to discuss the Careful Nursing Philosophy and how it is put into practice today. Panelists included Therese Meehan, who developed the Careful Nursing Philosophy & Professional Practice Model© from historical research of 19th-century Irish nursing, Celeste Des Champs ’77, Interim Chief Nursing Officer at St. Peter’s Hospital, Carole Wickham ’84, Director of Professional Practice and Nursing Research at St. Peter’s, Elizabeth Heywood, B´ÎÔª Nursing Chair and Ellen Argust, BS Degree in Nursing Program Director at Maria. Victoria Battell, Vice President for Mission Integration and AVP of Student Affairs served as moderator.
